In 2018 a group of members of the Covenant of Hekate collaborated in the Hekate’s Companion Project, exploring deities which they perceived to be companions of Hekate and ultimately writing hymns to Hekate and these gods and goddesses.
This hymn to Hekate and Pan was one of the results.
Oh ye Gods, Migthy Hekate and Great Pan!
Most unlikely companions,
You who dwell in the liminalBetween civilization and wilderness!
Hearken to your supplicants' song!
Oh great Pan who inflicts fear
In the flocks of sheep and mortals,
And taketh as he wills, as does fierce and terrifying Hekate.
Oh sublime Pan, you who are our guide,
Leading us beyond the bonds
Of societies' bestowed rules,
as does Gate Crashing Hekate.
Oh Arcadian shepherd,
Fiery-eyed and wild-shaped.
You who blesseth those living at the fringe,
as does Torch Bearing Hekate.
Oh Earthly Pan of hooves and horns,
Who teacheth us to listenTo the voice of our true nature,
as does Chthonic Hekate.
Oh ye Gods, Migthy Hekate and Great Pan!
You who dwell in the cavesBetwixt this world and the realm of Hades,
Accompanied by deamons and nymphs!
Guide us in your wild dance
Over crossroads, meadows and groves.
Stumbling, falling, but ever rejoicing
In this mortal life and beyond.
Grat Pan and Mighty Hekate!
Hearken to your supplicants' song,
Pan join your music with Hekate’s irresistible voice!
Hail Hekate! Hail Pan!
I remember working on that project! I think I mostly contributed to the Lucifer and Hermes hymns. It was an enjoyable way to learn more about the Goddess and Her connections that’s for sure.
