Hello there! (if you know, you know )

I'm Iriome. My name is from the Canary Islands, and so am I! It is a bit tricky to write an introduction as I'm transiting a liminal moment in my life and I don't believe only our accomplishments define us, but I've been professionally trained in performing arts, especially in poetic theatre, I've also studied anthropology and now humanities and a bunch of languages, focusing right now mainly on Korean. Fantasy and performance are my life.

At the time of writing, I have moved 13 times, living in a number of cities in Spain and other countries around the world. Keep doing that in order to learn from different cultures and ways of living before deciding to settle (if) is my main goal.

How did I end up here? I became pagan at age 12-13 after being disappointed with the Catholic Church I was strictly raised in by my former-nun grandma. I've since been part of a variety of pagan traditions and travelled in order to assist rituals and visit places of magical interest as much as I've been able to. I could send my "résumé" to anyone concerned enough, but I don't believe in flaunting titles and rather acting according to one's values, commitment to the Gods and the world.

I always tend to study and learn about the deities/spirits of the place where I am and their religious/magical traditions, trying not to take them away from their context and/or appropiating, but rather appreciating. I am a polytheist, but I'm in a spiritual Crossroads/threshold right now, and I am trying to cultivate the humbleness, patience, dedication and discipline to be a connected devotee first and foremost once again. Integrity, reliable information and traditions that don't force the leader's personal gnosis are my jam.

I can openly discuss my pagan religion, but I am very private about my magical/witchcraft practice.

When I am in my family home, I live with my mother and granny and also three dogs, four (soon to be five) cats and a lovebird who graciously share their life with us. 

I like writing letters, do archery, "play" the lyre, make candles and enjoy trying various types of arts and crafts. I'm also quite geeky and gravitate towards period dramas, Dune, LoTR, Star Wars, (used to adore) Harry Potter and really admire anything Patrick Rothfuss, Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett have written. 

The ocean is what I love the most in the world, and I practice mermaiding, so I actually dress up with a monofin, tail and swim like one. A bit dorky, I know, but it's tons of fun. Dolphin kick supremacy, y'all.
