About
Just a witch exploring philosophy, yoga, magick, spirituality and Shakti/the Divine Feminine. Devotee of the Goddess Hekate joining the CoH in 2012.
I post articles on my research, experiences and musings on life as an alternative witch, devotee of Hekate and yoga practitioner on my Substack::

‘“For there exists a certain Intelligible which you must perceive by the flower of the mind.”
The Chaldean Oracles
Fragment 1
3.3 – ‘The Self is hidden in the lotus of the heart.’
The Chandogya Upanishad from the Sama Veda
A yoga practitioner from the age of 11/12, a practising witch since age 13 and Hekate became a conscious part of my path around age 18. My practice is very much built on these foundations and consequently my path is a little unusual. I learnt meditation and mantra before spells and herbs. If you are on a similar path I would love to connect with you.
I am exploring Hekate's origins, trying to find any evidence or theories about her worship prior to Hesiod's Theogony and any potential connections between Ancient Greece and Vedic Ancient Indian cultures. Interested in searching for links between Hekate in Anatolia and Hekate in Persia - currently keen to learn more about Anāhitā. I have always felt that there was a connection between Ancient Greece and Ancient India but I gave up on it in my 20s as I could not find any information at the time. This interest has been re-ignited recently through my study of Indian philosophy, Sanātana Dharma, The Upanishads, The Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Chaldean Oracles & Ancient Greek texts on Hekate.
‘The world does not arrive neutral. It arrives already shaped by the instrument receiving it.’
Hari, YT
I believe we are all experiencing the divine in a form that we can grasp and comprehend through our mind's limits/colourings. Meaning our understanding is limited due to inherited beliefs, language, experience and culture. Then language can never convey deeper meanings.
‘“For all things which issue from the One and, conversely, go back to the One, are divided, so to speak, intelligibly, into many bodies.”’
The Chaldean Oracles, Fragment 9
“Truth is one; sages call it by various names”
Rig Veda
I honour Shakti/the Divine Feminine as the manifestation of ‘The One’/’One Fire’/Source/Universal Consciousness/Brahman/God of your own understanding.
The coin below has me curious… it seems to show Hekate riding on a lion with a dogs tail and ?veil? overhead. Hekate is associated with lions and dogs, the coin was found in Anatolia, modern day Turkey. Seeking info on Hekate's pre-Greek Dark Ages (1100-700 BCE) roots.
